Privacy Policy

Last updated 20 August 2026

Studio Scoot makes games for iOS and Android. This policy explains what our games collect, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to our games and to this website.

The short version. We don’t ask for your name or address, and we never see your card number. The game does collect device and gameplay data so we can fix crashes, understand what people play, sync your save, and show ads. You can turn off ad tracking on your device, and you can ask us to delete everything tied to your account at any time by writing to scott@studioscoot.com.

Who we are

Studio Scoot LLC, an independent game studio based in Miami, Florida, USA. For anything in this policy — questions, requests, complaints — write to scott@studioscoot.com.

What we collect

Device and diagnostic information

Device model, operating system version, language and region, and app version, along with crash reports and performance data when something goes wrong. We use this to find and fix bugs. Collected through Google Firebase Crashlytics.

Gameplay and usage analytics

Events about how the game is played — sessions, levels attempted and completed, screens opened, and whether a purchase was made. This tells us which parts are too hard and which features nobody uses. Collected through Google Firebase Analytics, and tied to an app instance identifier rather than to your name.

Advertising information

Our games show ads. Outside the UK and EEA, our advertising partners may access your device’s advertising identifier (the IDFA on iOS, the Advertising ID on Android), coarse location inferred from your IP address, device information, and records of which ads you were shown and interacted with. In the UK and EEA we instruct our partners to serve non-personalised ads, which don’t use your advertising identifier. Ads are served through Unity LevelPlay mediation, which passes requests to the ad networks in our stack.

Purchases

Purchases of in-game items are processed entirely by Apple and Google. We never receive or store your card number, billing address, or payment credentials. We receive confirmation that a transaction succeeded, what was bought, and a receipt identifier so we can grant the item and restore it later.

Your account and cloud save

If you sign in, we store an account identifier and your save data — your progress and your purchases — so it survives a lost or replaced phone.

When you contact us

If you email support, we keep your message and email address for as long as it takes to help you and to keep a record of the issue.

What we don’t collect

Why we’re allowed to use it

If you’re in the UK or the European Economic Area, the GDPR asks us to name a legal basis for each use. Ours are: performance of a contract for running the game, saving your progress, and delivering what you bought; and legitimate interests for crash reporting, security, preventing fraud, and understanding how the game is played so we can improve it. We do not run personalised advertising in the UK or EEA, so we don’t ask you for advertising consent there. If you’d rather we didn’t use your gameplay data for analytics at all, email us and we’ll stop.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your data. We do pass it to the services that make the game work, each of which has its own privacy policy:

If Studio Scoot is ever sold or merges with another company, your data may transfer as part of that. We’d tell you before it did.

Advertising choices

You are not stuck with personalised ads:

Turning personalisation off doesn’t remove ads. It makes them less relevant.

Children

Our games are made for a general audience. They are not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email scott@studioscoot.com and we’ll delete it.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, send you a copy, or stop using it for a given purpose. If you’re in the EEA or UK you have these rights under the GDPR; in California, under the CCPA, which also gives you the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We don’t sell personal information as those laws define it, though sharing data with ad networks for personalised ads may count as “sharing” under California law — the ad controls above are how you opt out.

To exercise any of this, email scott@studioscoot.com. We’ll respond within 30 days. EEA and UK players also have the right to complain to their local data protection authority.

Deleting your account and data

Email scott@studioscoot.com with the subject line Delete my data and the account you play on. We’ll delete your account, save data, and analytics records within 30 days and confirm when it’s done. Purchase records are kept where tax and accounting law requires, and crash logs older than the request are already anonymous.

Deleting your account deletes your progress. It cannot be undone, and purchases cannot be restored afterwards.

How long we keep it

Save data lives as long as your account does. Analytics events are retained for 14 months and then deleted. Crash reports are kept for 90 days. Support emails are kept for two years. Purchase records are kept for seven years, because tax law says so.

Where your data goes

Studio Scoot is in the United States, and our service providers process data in the United States and elsewhere. If you’re in the EEA or UK, that means your data leaves your country; those transfers rely on the standard contractual clauses our providers have in place.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to the people who need it, and we keep as little as we can get away with. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affects you, we’ll tell you and the relevant regulator as fast as the law requires.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we’ll say so in the game before it takes effect.
